I missed this report about convicted killer Mechele Linehan being released from prison (although monitored) after she successfully appealed her conviction. 48 Hours is supposed to rerun the report it did on the case, a case that had more holes than a slab of Swiss cheese.
Linehan was convicted because of her lifestyle. Nothing more, and nothing less. It was a travesty.

Female rock singer Alanis Morissette was wed to her boyfriend rapper Souleye, real name Mario Treadway in a secret ceremony last month at Los Angeles.
The couple has been dating last year October 2009 and finally decided to exchanged vow in a secret ceremony at Los Angeles on May 22 this year.

Apple hasn't confirmed its plans, but in the last two years the company has used the San Francisco conference to unveil new generations of iPhone.
Every major Apple event prompts a wave of speculation about what the company might announce. This time, analysts and Apple-watchers are armed with more reliable advance information than usual. An Apple engineer left an iPhone prototype in a Silicon Valley bar; the person who found it sold it to the prominent technology blog Gizmodo for $5,000.
Gizmodo posted details and photos online that point to an iPhone with more squared-off sides, a clearer screen, a front-facing camera and a bigger battery.
Apple won't say what it plans to reveal Monday or whether the prototype is similar to the next generation of its smart phone.

I am a bit excited over this year’s conference… I guess it is more of a curiosity of mine that started to nag me the moment Google began its aggressive approach to attack the mobile smartphone market. I hate monopolies. I root for the underdog, and this is the first year when there seems to be not much distinction between iPhone OS and Android OS, at least in the mind of the market. That is when this curiosity came about: can iPhone be innovative in the midst of intense competition from its nearest rival, Android?
I think Android has a lot riding for it than against it. However, I have this business voice in my head that says, ‘You wait and see. Steve Jobs won’t take the threat sitting down.’ So, for the first time since iPhone debuted, I am giving them a chance to impress me
I am a bit stoked for the announcement.
For the record, I own both Android and iPhone devices. It is the older device of course (2008). I know the strengths and weaknesses of both, and as usual, the diplomatic answer would be: it depends on individual preference.
But I believe I am now a smartphone advocate. Being an advocate, one cannot just sit in the middle, or on the fence. No siree!
So we’ll see how it goes.

Guests at the wedding between Rush Limbaugh and 33-year-old Kathryn Rogers included celebrity guests such as Fred Thompson, Sean Hannity, Bush adviser Karl Rove, golfer Tom Watson and Rudolph Giuliani.
The 400 guest wedding took place at the Breakers hotel in Palm Beach. Limbaugh and Rogers met six years ago at a charity golf tournament while the conservative radio host was in the midst of divorcing his third wife.
Addressing the over 20 year age difference between herself and her new husband, Kathryn Rogers said she is “sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age.”

FHM's Top 100 -- and the winner is...
Miss Cheryl Cole!That's right folks, everyone's favourite Geordie judge is officially the sexiest lady on planet woman, according to the faithful of FHM magazine, for the second year running.
In a familiar looking list (meow Asylum, bitchy!) the Tyneside stunner has taken gold ahead of Transformer-babe Megan Fox.
Underwear model Marissa Miller was clapped into third while The Saturday's Frankie Sanford missed out on the medals with a brave fourth.
FHM favourite (and lovely girl, we might add) Keeley Hazell took fifth while things got interesting at six where Twilight star and dish of the day Kristen Stewart takes her top 100 bow.
Long time favourite Kelly Brook, who topped the list back in 2007, has made a resurgence into the top 10 at seven while Brazilian beauty Adriana Lima, Hollywood hotty Jessica Alba and wondrous WAG Abby Clancy round off the top 10.
Half a million men, globally, voted with 40 Brits making the grade, five of which feature in the top 10.
